Special Hobby #72160 1/72 Bell X-1A/D "Second Generation"

Special Hobby Kit #72160. 1/72 scale. Nicely detailed multi-media model kit of the second generation of the X-1. Four (4) aircraft were ordered, the X-1A/B/D. X-1C was never completed, X-1D had to be jettisoned and crashed in the desert. The aircraft was bigger with larger capacity fuel tanks then the original X-1 (XS-1).
